Welcome Behind Our Door

Our Story

Nancy and Julie paths crossed over a decade ago when Julie stumbled upon the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) seeking valuable resources for her son who was suffering from bipolar disorder. It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship that would span decades and bond them in the fight for mental wellness.

United by their mission to bring change, and harnessing their expertise, Nancy and Julie collaborated tirelessly on educational programs, speaking engagements, fundraising and community outreach. Through their dedication they created and taught an educational Crisis Intervention Program changing the perspectives of governmental and police agencies.

When the world changed during the covid crisis, Nancy and Julie spent endless hours on the phone discussing all things mental health. They knew they wanted to embark on a new journey helping families navigate the confusing world of mental health…..

And that’s when Behind Our Door was born!

We thank you for letting us be a part of your journey and promise to continue our search for valuable resources towards mental wellness.
